Black Lodge

Sometimes, you see something that makes you go WOW! louder than normal.
The beautiful little building in this image is so clean-of-line, and yet so romantic, it touches some aesthetic nerve.  The image itself has the same aesthetic, and it all comes together in a little row boat.
Clap hands!

all images john clang

These images really appeal to me as a way of recording the passing of time in a space. I love coming across something that does in an interesting way something you've been struggling with yourself.

Which leads me to acknowledge how this blog has become of a reblog site over the last months. Which is really indicitive of my rather unhappy relationship with practice at the moment. I think I'm finally getting a handle on why I cannot feel any joy for landscape, and this is not just because of lack of work.

For now, that's all I've got to say. I hope I've discovered a way through this. And sometimes its best to get on with it.

Great wallpaper for all the beautiful places you love.
